The Council Sate Present as yesterday
Col Hoskins and three more bring up a Bill confirming the
last Will & Testamt of John Courts late of Charles County
Esqr decd
Read the first & second times in their House
Capt Jones & Mr Ennalls bring up

By the House of Delegates
Novembr 6th 1712

This House having taken Care to fitt up several Offices in
the Stadt House upon viewing the same find the room allotted
for the Assembly Office to be inconvenient & Considering the
largeness of the room alotted for the Council Office presume
it may be Sufficient also for the Naval office. Therefore are
of opinion the room alotted formerly for the Naval Office be
now appointed for the Assembly Office and the Pigeon holes
Desks &c put in the Assembly office may be removed into the
Chancery Office which is still unfurnished and the Door of the
Assembly Office be quite taken away which will give more
Light into the passage to all the Upper Rooms in the Stadt
House an,d desire the honble Presidt & Council will concurr
with them in ordering the same

The Petition of the Militia Officers of Charles County read
complaining of the Embezillment of Arms and Ammunition
lately Entrusted with several persons of that County.
And likewise Mr John Courts Deposition relating to Arms
& Ammunition in his Father Col John Court's House which
came to the Hands of Col John Contee & his Execr & by her
sold & Embezilled being read at the Board, Resolved that
the same be laid before the House of Delegates with the fol-
lowing recommendation Viz.
