Upon motion of the Clerk of this House for Fees to be
allowed by Mr John Gresham of Ann Arundel County for the
Accusation laid against him before this House for his Neglect
in suffering Criminal Persons to escape &ta which was debated
and resolved the said John Gresham satisfy & pay the Clerk
six hundred Pounds of Tobacco for his Fees.
William Coursey Esqr enters the House and delivers Mr
Speaker Bill for Relief of poor Prisoners indorsed.
May 24th 1705 This Bill thought to be wholly very ill con-
venient and therefore wholly rejected
W Bladen Cl. Council.

And the ingrossed Bill for Sale of a Parcel of Land called
Richardson's Choice &ta Indorsed. May 24th 1705. Read &
Assented to by her Majesty's Honble Council
Ingrossed Bill for Exportation & Banishment of Benjamin
Celey Indorsed
May 24th 1705 Read and assented to by her Majesty's
Hon'ble Council W Bladen Cl. Council

The House adjourns till to morrow morn, seven O'Clock.

Die Veneris May 25, 1705. The House met again accordg
to Adjournm'
Being called over were all present as yesterday
Read what was done yesterday. Bill for apportioning the
publick Levy.
Read the first & second Times & do pass
Ordered Mr John Taylor, Mr Hugh Eccleston and Mr John
Hudson carry up the Bill to the Council for Concurrence.
They return & say they delivered the Bill.
The Honble James Saunders Esqr enters the House and
delivers the Bill for apportioning the publick Levy Indorsed
25th May 1705 Read & agreed to in Council
W Bladen Cl. Council

Ordered to be ingrossed. Which being ingrossed Eodem
Die. Indorsed. Read and assented to by the House of
Delegates. Was sent up to the Council by Mr Joseph Hill,
and Mr Joseph Gray for their Assent. And they were ordered
to acquaint his Excellency & Council that this House at
present has nothing else before them so that if they have
any thing to more to impart the House are ready to proceed
thereupon. They return & say they delivered their message.
Colo William Holland from the Council and delivers the
ingrossed Bill for apportioning the Levy Indorsed 25th May
1705 Read & assented to by his Ex'cy the Governor &
Council W Bladen Cl. Council
