Mr Langton is so strongly recommended to us as a Person
well attached to America that we are very desirous he should
have an Opportunity of transacting his Business which has
been inclosed to us and appears to be of Consequence to him;
we therefore request the Favor of you to permit and facilitate
a Meeting of those Gentlemen at some convenient Place for
doing their Business on the Lines

Present as on Saturday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James
Williams Eighty five Pounds for one years Rent of the
Hospital p Acct passed by the Depy Audr
That the said Treasurer pay to Job Todd seventeen Pounds,
eight shillings & nine Pence for the use of Maj. Fallen and
the further Sum of nine Pounds eight shillings and ten Pence
for the use of Henry Lake and his Compy per Accts passed
by the Depy Aud.
That the Eastern shore Treasurer pay to Colo William
Richardson One thousand Pounds to be expended in the
Purchase of Provisions & Accounted for.

In Council Annapolis 22d Febry 1779
Sir.
Richard Murrow carries you 90 Bushels of Salt; we are told
it is exceeding good and expect is just such as you wish. If
you have any Pork packed away, it will save some Trouble to
send it by this Boat on her Return write us at what Time we
may send for a Boat Load. We do not consider ourselves at
Liberty to change the Bills which have been received of the
Emissions called in; if it was to the Extent of a few thousand
Pounds only, it would not be a Matter of any great Conse-
quence to the Public, but if we should take back all of those
Emissions that have been paid away, it is very likely our
Treasury would be so far impoverished as not to be able to
supply Money for the current Expences. The Inconvenience
to the Holders will at all Events only be to lay out of the Use
of their Money 'til some Time in the Summer they may now
