[Council to W. Bund.]

In Council 29th July 1778.
Sir
The foregoing are Copies of the Order in Council and of
our circular Letter of the 20th June which we perceive from
your Letter, have not reached you. We send by your Brother
James Bond, the four thousand Dollars you wrote for and, as
continental Purchasers are fixed, we believe almost every
where and we have no Doubt but they will be able to supply
the Army. We request you'll make no further Purchases of
Cattle or Provisions under our Appointment; we wish you to
forward what Cattle you have on Hand to Colo Blaine or some
Purchaser under him, taking his Receipt, that your Account
may be setled, and we enabled to have a full Account of the
Purchases of Provisions by this State made up against the
Congress.

Present as on Yesterday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer Pay to Charles
Wallace Howard fifty five Pounds per Acct passed by the
Prinl Cl. to the Aud. Genl and also the further Sum of two
hundred and five Pounds to be delivered over to Nathaniel
Ross per Account passed by the Prinl Cl. to the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Colo John Stewart eighty
four Pounds twelve shillings and one Penny per Acct passed
by the Aud. Genl and the further Sum of five hundred and
seventy five Pounds for the use of Henry Jackson & Co for 8
Casks Musket Ball per Certificate of George Dashiell
That the said Treasurer Pay to Colo John Stewart nine hun-
dred and sixty three Pounds, seventeen shillings per Acct
passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Joseph Cowman Junr sixty
Pounds per Acct passed by the Aud. Genl
Joseph Babb a Corporal in the first Maryland Regiment
having a sore Leg has Permission to remain at Home three
weeks from this Time to endeavour to obtain Relief
Commission of a Letter of Marque and Reprisal issued to
Jonathan Clark Master of the Sloop called the Eclipse
mounting two Carriage Guns and 4 Swivels Navigated by
twelve Men belonging to Hugh Young and Compy of
Baltimore
