Dinah Know all men by these presents that We Dinah Nutheads Bond for Nuthead of Ann Arrundell County Widow Robert Printing Carvile and William Taylard of St Maries County Gentn are held and firmly bound unto his Exncy ffrancis Nichol son Esqr Capt Genll and Governor in Chief &Ca in the Sume of one hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to the wch paymt well and truly to be made & done We bind our Selves each and every of Us our and either of our heirs Exrs & Admrs joyntly & Severally for the whole and in the whole firm ly by these prsents Sealed with our Seals and Dated the four teenth day of May Anno Domini 1696. Whereas the above bound Dina Nuthead having p her Peticon humbly supplicated his Exncy the Governor for Leave & Lycence to set up her printing press for printing blank bills bonds Writs warrants of Attorney Letters of Administration and other Necessary blanks usefuil for the publick Offices of this province which being Referred to the House of Assembly and there Assented to, and by his sd EXUCY and Councill accord ingly Ordered She giving bond &Ca. Now the Condition of this Obligation is such that if the sd Dinah Nuthead shall exercise and Imploy her printing press and Letters to noe other use than for the printing of blank bills bonds writts warrants of Attorney Letters of Admrcon and other like blanks as abovesd nor Suffer any other person to make use thereof any otherwise than aforesd Unless by a particular p. 363 Lycence from his Exncy the Governor first had and obtained And further shall save harmless and indempnifye his sd Exncy the Governor from any Damage that may hereafter Ensue by the said Dinah Nuthead misapplying or Suffering to be mis applyed the aforesd Printing press or letters otherwise than to the true intent & meaning before expressed, Then this Obliga tion to be Voyd or else to Remain in full force and Virtue. her Sealed and Delivered in Dinah 0 Nuthead (Seale) the prsence off. markS H: Wriothesley Robt Carvile (Seale) Hen: Denton W.
