March the 3d 1695/6 Mr Mason & Mr Clarke Vpon further Representation, Ordered, that the Ordered to honoble Robert Mason Esqr & Mr Philip Clarke take p. 273 take the care to inquire into, looke after & Collect what aforesd Admrcon &Ca Goods, Tobacco or Debts whatsoever (properly. belonging to Capt Thomas Meech) they can find or discover to remain lye lodged or be due to him within St Maries County or any other place; a true Inventory whereof they are to make, and the same (when got together to some convenient place) they are to produce vnto Mr William Whitehall Asqueth & Mr Thomas Beal of St Maries County aforesd who are hereby Empowred to Appraise & Value all such Goods & Tobacco as shall be produced vnto them, and after Appraisemt thereof made, as well the aforenamed Robert Mason Esqr and Mr Philip Clarke as William Asqueth & Thomas Beal afores are to dispose & make sale of the same to the best advantage (for his Mats vse) for & toward satisfying a Debt due from the said Meech to his Maty And that they return a true Copy of all their proceedings into the Commissary Genius Office with all convenient speed, there to be lodged for satisfaction of the Creditors And it is hereby further Ordered that the honoble Kenelm Cheseldyn Esqr Comissary Genll do administer a proper Oath to the said Appraisers, And that he Grant Administration vpon the sd Estate, to W Robert Mason & Mr Philip Clarke to the Uses aforesaid. Esqr Tench's Motion & Vpon MQtion made by Thomas Tench Esqr that Ordr for the Guns and Antient in Capt Meech's Sloop were Guns &ca on by him lent vnto the sd Meech, and that they will be Board Capt wanted in the new Vesseli, belonging to Mr Davy,
Sloop, now bound for England; saying that the Guns lent were two third iron guns & two third brass guns together with a Muskatoon, which he desires may be left out of the Appraisemt of the other Goods, and that they may be brought & put on shore at Mr Philip Clarkes, at Piney Point, for the aforementioned Vessell to take in; Ordered that the Motion of the sd Esqr Tench be granted accordingly.
Coll Green- Ordered that the honoble Coll Nicholas Greenberry berry Order;d to lend lend vnto Thomas Tench Esqr ffifty pounds of pow Mr Tench der out of what powder lyes at present lodged with 50 lbs of powder &ca him, and that he take Esqr Tench's Receipt &
Engagemt to return the same quantity in kind, by the first opportunity out of England.
