[A. Hynes to Council.]
Washington County the 9th 1776.
Gentlemen. In pursuance of my instructions from your
Honours I have compleated my company a return of which I
now do myself the honour of sending you by Lieut. laac
McCreakin. I have applyed to Colo Reutch to review my
company to do which he did not comply, shou'd therefore be
glad you'd please by my said Lieut send me further instruc-
tions and the advance money promised by Convention to my
men and as they lay on expence now wd be desirous to know
what subsistance money may be allowed them, if any please
remit agreeable to their inlistment by Mr McCreakin and by
whom I do hope your Honours will be kind enough to give
me my Route that I may know when and where to march my
Company. I have the assurance to say my Company are
compleat and effective men and has the honour to be

Thursday, October 10th 1776.
Council met. Present as on yesterday.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Gilchriest &
Richardson fifteen pounds, for Boatage.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay Peter Heron ten shillings
for Ferriage.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Jenifer & Hooe forty
eight Pounds, one shilling for out fit of Sloop Milly.
Copy of Letter No 204 was sent to Colo Henry Hollings-
worth, No 205 to Colo Bond & Majr John Taylor.
Copy of Letter No 206 was sent to Mr Wm Johnson, No 207
to Mr Amos Garrett, No 208 to Doctr Francis Neale.
Ordered That Western shore Treasurer pay to Bent Edwc
Hall, for use of Amos Garrett one hundred Pounds, for Arms
and Blankets.
Ordered That said Treasurer pay to Jacob Morriss for use
of Thos Bond & John Taylor three hundred Pounds for ditto.
Ordered That Commissary of Stores at Balt: Town deliver
to Captain Harriss eighty six Cartouch Boxes; Belts, Canteens
Knapsacks with Havresacks & sixteen camp Kettles.
Commission issued to William Ewing appointed Ensign of
Captn Morriss's Company in the 8th Battalion of Militia.
