Commissions issued to Mr Robert Tyler appointed Colonel,
Thomas Williams Lieutenant Colonel, Thomas Snowden Ist
Major and John Macgill 2d Major of the Upper Battalion of
Militia in Prince George's County.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Mr Henry Gaither twenty nine Shillings and four Pence Cur-
rency for thread for the public Service.
Ordered that Colonel Smallwood furnish the Council of
Safety with a Roll of the Troops of his Battalion which march
under a Resolve of the last Session of Convention to Philadel-
phia, also an Account of their Arms, Accoutrements, Camp
Utensils and Baggage.
That the Captains James Hindman John Allen Thomas and
Edward Veazey do the like with Respect to their Companies.
That Doctr Michael Wallace furnish the Council as soon as
possible with a List of the Medicine he takes with him for the
use of Col. Smallwood's Battalion.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Capt Barton Lucas thirty seven pounds twelve shillings and
nine Pence on Account of his Company.
Ordered That Thomas Yates be appointed Captain of a
Company of Militia to be raised in Baltimore County, for the
Flying Camp, in the Room of Captain Stevenson, who
resigned.
Ordered That the Treasurer of the Western Shore pay to
Capt. Yates sixty nine Pounds fifteen shillings, his first Lieu-
tenant, Edward Ogleby £46.. 10. second Lieutenant, John
Ogleby £46.. 10 and Ensign, Joseph Lewis £37.. 5.
Ordered that the said Treasurer pay to Charles Wallace
Esquire Paymaster, One thousand Pounds.
Commissions issued to John Kidd, John Hancock Beanes,
and Alexander Roxburgh appointed first Lieutenants in Col.
Smallwood's Battalion of regular Forces.
To Hatch Dent, Benjamin Chambers, Henry Chew Gaither,
William Ridgely, & Edward Praul appointed second Lieuten-
ants.
To Walker Muse appointed third Lieutenant:
And to Walter Brook Cox, James Farnandis, Peter Brown,
John Gassaway and William Courts appointed Ensigns of said
Battalion.
Ordered that the Resolve of Convention regulating the
Rank of Officers in the flying Camp be immediately published
in the Maryland Gazette, and 200 Hand Bills of the same
printed to be circulated through the Province.
Adjourned till next Day 10 O'Clock.
