Gold & Silver Coin that can be procured in Baltimore County
to comply with the Resolve of the Congress.
Messrs Aquila Hall Richard [Dallam] and Aquila Paca in
Harford County.
Messrs Henry Griffith, William Baird, John Hanson Junr and
Michael Raymer in Frederick County.
Messrs Charles Carroll (of Carrollton) Thomas Dorsey and
John Weems in Ann Arundel County.
Messrs Thomas Contee, Stephen West and William Turner
Wootton in Prince George's County.
Messrs Robert Townsend Hooe, John Dent and Samuel
Love in Charles County.
Messrs Benjamin Mackall 4th. Alexander Somervill and
Patrick Sim Smith in Calvert County.
Col. George Plater, Richard Barnes and Hanson Briscoe in
St Mary's County.
Messrs Peter Chaille, Samuel Handy & John Done in Wor-
cester County.
Messrs George Dashiell, Samuel Wilson and William Adams
in Somerset County
Messrs Henry Dickinson, William Richardson & Benson
Stainton in Caroline County.
Messrs William Ennalls, James Murray and Henry Steele in
Dorchester County.
Messrs James Lloyd Chamberlaine, Edward Lloyd and
Greenbury Goldsborough in Talbot County.
Messrs Turbutt Wright, William Hemsley and Samuel
Thompson Junr in Queen Ann's County.
Messrs Thomas Ringgold, Joseph Earle and William [Ring-
gold] (Eastern Neck) in Kent County.
Messrs Joseph Gilpin, Wm Rumsey, and Henry Ward Pearce
in Cecil County.
Ordered That Copy of the said Resolve of Congress
together with a Ccpy of the Resolve of this Council notifying
the Appointments aforesaid be inclosed to the several persons
appointed in each County respectively, in the following Letter
to wit.
Baltimore Town 2d Feby 1776.
Gent.
Inclosed you have a Copy of a Resolve of Congress for
collecting Gold & Silver in this Province: as also a Resolve by
the Council of Safety for your Appointment to collect the same
in County. You are to inform the Council of Safety what
Sum you have been able to collect with all convenient Speed
that they may transmit the gross Amount of the whole to the
Congress. We take it for granted that Continental Money
will be ordered us in Exchange. In the mean time by way of
