Liber B. full Satisfaction of mr Thomas Hatton Upon a Bill of Twelve hundred and odd pounds of Tobacco and Caske entred into by the Said mr Hatton to the Said mr Richd Thurston the Said Bill being delivered up by me to the Said mr Hatton. At a Court held at St Maries the tenth day of Aprill 1654
(William Stone Esq Governour Present Capt John Price mr Thomas Hatton Secretary
mr Thomas Hatton his Ldps Secretary and Attorney Gen- erall on his Ldps behalf and on the behalf of himself this day declared against Luke Gardiner for detaining Elinor Hatton his Neece a Girle of about twelve years old from him the Said Secretary and her Mother Endeavouring to trayne her up in the Roman Catholick Religion with other things in the Said Attorneys declaration Contained, the Said Luke appearing in this Suit upon a Speciall Warrant from the Governour and both parties being heard at large touching the Matter in ques- tion, The Court for the present pronounced noe other order therein,but onely that the Said Elinor Hatton who was present in Court and brought in upon the Said Speciall Warrant, Should be returned and left to the disposition of the Said Attorney her Uncle. The Said Warrant, declaracon and other proceed- ings thereupon being hereafter upon Record fol.
